PANGA GETS BIGGER

Image
I n last few years Pro Kabaddi has played a big role in promoting our very own sport. Thanks to PKL we re-remembered the names of our national kabaddi heroes and could keep an eye on the future of this game. PKL managed to divert people’s attention back towards Kabaddi. In the 4 seasons so far, we have witnessed many nail biting encounters and brilliant matches. To fulfil our daily dose of excitement and to give us some more kabaddi, Pro Kabaddi is coming back with brand new season. On the 28 th of July, the season 5 of PKL is starting. This season is promised to be bigger and better than earlier seasons. This year 4 new teams will be participating in the contest. Gujarat Fortunegiants, Tamil Thalaivas, Haryana Steelers and UP Yodhas are the new teams. These new teams are the reason we won’t be seeing the team combinations we know. The players were auctioned again and the old teams are shuffled. This will make it hard for players, as they need to escape their old team habits...

WORLD CUP OF CHANGE

Image
S ometimes it may happen that we didn’t do anything wrong, but we still lose. This is exactly what happened in yesterday’s Cricket World Cup Final against England. Ladies you didn’t do anything wrong, just few mistakes you made was the cost of World Championship. You fought like warriors, until the very end. But sometimes experience is all you need in the big stage finals and that is where our young girls fell short. It’s sad we couldn’t win the world cup. Let’s say we won second place instead of saying we lost the world championship. This year’s Women’s World Cup gave us the glimpse of the shinning future of Women’s cricket. Let’s take a look back at our team’s performance and applaud them for their efforts and achievements. After all they have given us moments to cherish. Smriti Mandhana was 1 st star to emerge with 90 against England in 1 st match and 106 against WI in 2 nd match. Defending a low total of 169 runs against Pakistan proved that Indian bowlers are no less st...

BEAST UNDER BEAUTY'S SKIN

Image
H aving lost against Australia at league stage India needed a great performance to beat them in semis. Since the start of the World Cup on 24 th June, she couldn’t score big. 60 against New Zealand remained her best in league stage. But Semifinal was entirely different matter. And this time she rose to the occasion and smashed 171 not out of just 115 balls. All the frustration of not performing to her abilities melted away with this big knock. Harmanpreet Kaur, truly, is the Beast Under Beauty’s Skin. Even before match, Derby was referred as Indian’s ground. India won the toss and elected to bat first. After losing openers for cheap, everything seemed hard for for India, but yesterday was of India’s vice-captain. We lost Mandhana in first over itself and Punam Raut followed shortly afterwards. India was reduced to 35-2. And now it was the turn of  India’s destructive batswomen, Harmanpreet Kaur. After bringing some stability in innings with Mithali Raj, she started with wh...

THE K1N9

F irst match point and a thundering ace. Game, Set, Match and Championship-Mr. Federer. Here we witnessed his reunion with his favourite trophy after the gap of 4 long years. The name R. Federer was engraved for the 8 th time on the most honourable trophy in Tennis. With this title he has extended his tally of Grand Slams to 19, making it insurmountable task for newcomers. That’s why there should be no hesitation in admitting that, Roger Federer is THE KING of this era . If someone would have predicted, after last year’s Wimbledon, that Federer will win Australian Open and Wimbledon in 2017, hardly anyone would have believed it. The thing that seemed almost impossible last year, is reality of this year. When Federer retuned this January, after 6 months away to restore his troubling knee, we got our vintage Federer back. His run so far can be described as nothing but some story from fantasy book series. Since his return he is constantly spinning the clock backwards and redefin...
