FAREWELL LIGHTNING BOLT

With the end of world athletic Championship, career of Usain Bolt came to an end as well. The farewell was nowhere near anyone in the world imagined. The Championships was certainly something worth forgetting for the legend. In his last individual race he was pushed to bronze medal and in 4x100 he faced the worst possible thing when he couldn’t even run. But as he said, what happened in these races doesn’t change much in his elite career.
Starting from the World Junior Championships in Jamaica, started the lightning career of Usain Bolt. Winning 1st Gold in front of home crowd made him a hero in a country where Sprinting is most favourite event. Soon with his running ability, fun loving nature, style and coolness he became crowd’s favourite. And come on who doesn’t like his celebration? That’s the reason no one hates him. That’s the reason world felt disappointed when he came 3rd in his last individual race but still came out to cheer for relay. And everyone wept when he couldn’t even complete his run in last relay and cried.

Teammates consoling Bolt after relay

After the failure of Athens Olympics, there was no looking back for him. Starting from Beijing Olympics in 2008, he dominated sprinting till Rio Olympics 2016. One more achievement during this time was winning triple ‘Triple’. Unfortunately the relay Gold of Beijing Olympic was taken away when team mate was caught in doping. World record for 100m 9.58sec, World record for 200m 19.19sec. these inhuman timings are produced by non other than our sprint King. Other than this, Jamaica holds world record for 4x100m relay of 36.84sec and he is major part of it. The lowest point in his career came when he was disqualified in 2011 World championships. Usain Bolt must be holding a record of breaking his own records. Due to his speed he had to undergo countless number of doping tests, only to come out clean every single time. Even after all this our champion believes that if Humans push themselves to their limits we can complete 100m in the limits of 8sec.
Today Usain Bolt holds 23 Golds, 5 Silvers and 1 Bronze medal in his career. This tally includes 8 Olympic Golds, 11 World Championship Golds. In sprinting these numbers are unreal. Track and field events are considered most prestigious throughout the years but were shadowed by all the cheating and doping. With the entry of Usain Bolt, the event became most disciplined as he brought some sanity to the sport. There is no one who has came even closer to his records. If there is anything we can compare his records then it is peak K2. Not a highest peak in the world but most difficult to conquer. So are the records of Jamaican, most difficult to conquer. One has to take efforts worth scaling K2, to better his records.
These last two races proved two things. If you want to achieve something and you work hard towards it, no one can stop you achieving it. Look at Justin Gatlin he spent major part of his career chasing Usain Bolt to the finish line and end up finishing 2nd every time. In the carving of beating him he went to wrong way and was tested positive on drugs. But after serving ban, it was Usain Bolt himself who gave him confidence that if he works hard enough he can still win. As a result we saw Gatlin beating him and living his dream in the very last chance he got. And the 1st thing he did after winning was bowing down to the Bolt. Bolt was also the 1st person to hug him and congratulate him. In that hug Bolt told him that he deserves it. Hearing this from your rival is something very exceptional. These gestures make them Champions and such are the spirits of Champions, Humble in win and gracious in defeat.

Champion Bowing down to Legend

Even though he wanted to step down after Rio Olympics he ran in World Championship just for his fans. yes, The End was bitter, something no one imagined. Although He couldn’t win his last race, he still remains the Fastest Human Being on the Earth with the top speed of 44kmph. The second thing that was proved by the defeat is that he is a HUMAN. After leaving his imprint on Sports World and giving fans countless memories over 10 years, the legend retired and the Golden Spikes are hanged Forever.
