T he sport of Tennis is majorly outlined in the words like silence or discipline. But now we are heading towards the final grand slam of the year, these words are nor sufficient to define the sport. US Open is always proved more of a rebel tournament in the year full of classic tournaments. When we step in New York suddenly the whole mood of sport changes. Instead of silence during the break, loud music hit the ears. A lot of noise, fun, entertaining crowd and late night matches is something that sets this Grand Slam apart. G lasgow has set the stage for the war between the shuttlers from all over the world and the World Badminton Championship is in full swing. Indian shuttlers as usual are continuing to display the brilliance of their game. Unfortunately India’s favourite in Men’s singles was stopped in quarter finals by World No.1 yesterday and with this India’s hopes of medal in Men’s singles melted away. But we still have our two champions in Ladies’ Singles, PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal. Both the girls have entered in semifinals last night and confirmed the Bronze but it’s high time for India to change the colour of our medals. The Championship started in the year 1977 and since 2005 it became an annual event except for Olympic year. We are successful in securing at least 1 medal every in World Championship since 2012. One Final time 'To Di World' W ith the end of world athletic Championship, career of Usain Bolt came to an end as well. The farewell was nowhere near anyone in the world imagined. The Championships was certainly something worth forgetting for the legend. In his last individual race he was pushed to bronze medal and in 4x100 he faced the worst possible thing when he couldn’t even run. But as he said, what happened in these races doesn’t change much in his elite career. Starting from the World Junior Championships in Jamaica, started the lightning career of Usain Bolt. Winning 1 st Gold in front of home crowd made him a hero in a country where Sprinting is most favourite event. World Athletic Championships are starting on 4 th and the venue is London Olympic stadium.
